One essential way in which we can help children develop the growth mindset is to change the language of a child’s self-talk. Self-talk is the voice of our mindsets and Dweck identifies self-talk as one of the key elements to how mindsets are established and maintained. Below, are five steps that parents and educators can take that will help shift a child’s mindset from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset.
